Skye Michaels was born in Jerusalem, Israel. He started playing guitar and singing at the age of ten. By age seventeen, he had recorded and performed with most of Israel’s top singers and musicians. He also toured Israel with his original band, and has played with Israel’s Air Force Band. In the United States, Skye Michaels studied arranging and conducting at the renowned Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts. He gave master classes in classical guitar at MIT. He continued to expand his musical horizons by performing with Jazz, Country, and Rock bands, as well as with United States’ most acclaimed Flamenco dance company—Ramón de los Reyes Spanish Dance Theatre. In 1980, Skye Michaels relocated to Los Angeles to work in the TV and film industry as a recording guitarist and composer. He later formed the Skye Michaels Orchestras, which have grown to become the premier orchestras in Southern California for weddings, corporate functions, private parties, banquets, fundraisers, bar/bat mitzvahs, and shows.
